LISTEN UP SFCT CLIMBERS!

We’ve got all the Finals Day details here for you so get ready to lock in:

Finals Day is taking place on MAY 2nd from 8AM to 8PM. This is a one-day opportunity for you to head to CX and attempt the mindboggling task of sending as many out of the 40 routes set over the entire comp as you can in a SINGLE day. It’s an outrageous idea and we hope you’re as excited as we are to see it unfold.

Reminders:
• A send counts as an attempt from GROUND to the FINISH HOLD. If you fall during the attempt, it doesn’t count towards your points.
• Scorecards must be submitted by the END OF THE DAY at 8PM! Submit them to the front desk for our score wizards to get all sorted out. We’ll have the results posted up shortly after Finals Day and will reach out to the victors to collect their spoils.
• Bring your comp tee for t-shirt stamp printing! We’ll also have posters for purchase to stamp if you weren’t able to get your hands on the SFCT swag.
• There will be a coffee stand from 8AM to 2PM and a chai stand from 2PM to 8PM for your enjoyment.
• Don’t miss the guests we have invited to host booths from 10AM to 6PM!
• We’ll reveal a SECRET BONUS POINT on Saturday for you score thirsty climbers to accrue!

To answer some of your questions:

• Will it be busy?!
  Yes, it will. There will be nearly 150 of you showing up in a single day to try and climb 40 routes each. It’s going to be busy! Luckily, we’re open from 8AM to 8PM on that day, so you will have twelve hours to try and beat the endurance pump and get on the wall. Coordinate with your fellow climbers by talking to them, asking if you can have the line next, etc. etc. In the past, we’ve also had people stack their scorecards to make a queue. There’s no reason to be scared of each other!

• What the heck is an art printing station?
  Remember that SFCT t-shirt you got? The tree branches were left empty for a reason: we had @artbyvalya handmake some gorgeous flower and plant related t-shirt stamps to gussy up your shirt with. There will be a stamping station on Finals Day led by gracious volunteers so you can take a load off and get crafty.

• But… I don’t want to climb for 12 hours straight!
  You don’t have to! There will be booths hosted by organisations we’ve invited in, as well as a chill zone at the upper boulders with beanbags where you can take a deep breath, enjoy food and drink, play board games, and chat with your fellow competitors. Hell, maybe they’ll even share their earth-shattering beta with you!

• Will there be food?
  In a sense. We’ll have popcorn and beverages, as well as a restaurant guide of our local places to eat downtown for you to peek at. We strongly invite you to bring food in and chow down in the chill zone. We love supporting local businesses and we hope you’ll show them your love too!
