Spring Fling Finale

 

This is the event that climbers have been working towards, the chance to kick back, have some fun and celebrate their remarkable efforts. The event won’t just involve feats of climbing, it will be a festive celebration of the climbing community.

There will be a variety of climbing related games and activities for both climbers and spectators to enjoy. But that’s not all - there will also be music, drinks and food to keep everyone energized throughout the day. Oh, and did we mention door prizes? Merch, gift cards and swag are up for grabs from Patagonia, Grove Outdoors, Evolv, West Coast Resoles, Metolius, Acteryx, Whistle Buoy, and your very own Crag X! Whether you’re a Spring Fling Competitor or not, there will be something for everyone at the Finale.

10am-2pm: Climbing games and challenges
12pm: Food & drinks
2pm-5pm: Music, non-climbing games, more food & drinks
5pm: Gym closes

Free entry for competitors, $11 for non-competitors.

FAQ

  • What does it cost? If you competed in the comp there is no charge to get in. If you didn’t do the comp it costs $11 to come in on Saturday.

  • What does entry include? Entry includes a scorecard to participate in the games, one drink/food ticket, and entry into the raffle prize draw. Additional food/drink tickets are $5 each, and each ticket gets you another raffle draw entry.

  • What are the games? We’re glad you asked! Here’s a list of all the games:

    • Lead progression challenges

    • Toprope progression challenges

    • Crate stacking

    • Dyno comp

    • Hanging challenge

    • Blindedfolded climbing races

    • Rope jugging races

    • Plus slack lines, spike ball, and more!

  • Are there bonus routes to add to my total points? Nope, last chance to add to your point tally was Tuesday night.

  • How do the prizes work? We’ll be announcing and giving out prizes for the overall series winners for lead and top-rope on Saturday. Prizes will be given out for winning the games, and a bunch of raffle prizes will be given out throughout the day!

  • What if I just want to watch and not do the games? Ok, ok, but you’ll regret it. You can enter for no charge if you aren’t doing the games.

  • What will there be to eat and drink? Brickyard pizza, Whistle Buoy beer and Cultured Kombucha.

  • Can kids come? Yep! Anyone under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Music? Live DJ at 3pm!
